It’s designed to be applied to any clean, porous surface, allowing it to fully penetrate the material. Once dried, Harmony Patinated Concrete becomes one with the substrate, delivering a seamless, long-lasting finish.
Before applying Patinated to a concrete surface, ensure the concrete is at least 14 days old and that the surface is porous. Suitable surfaces include fluid screed, concrete screed, anhydrite screed, or self-leveling underlayment.

Harmony Patinated Concrete is intended solely for indoor floors. Perfect for both new homes and older spaces, it’s ideal for revitalizing existing concrete floors while adding an extra layer of protection. It can be applied to any porous substrate, including screeds, self-leveling underlayments, and concrete, and is compatible with underfloor heating systems.

As with any concrete application, it’s essential to prepare the surface thoroughly. Use Harmony Surface Prep and Harmony Neutral Cleaner to clean the area properly. Applying Harmony Patinated Concrete is simple: shake the bottle well, and it’s ready for direct use. For a more translucent look, you can dilute the Patinated with water (up to 20%).
Apply the Patinated with a sponge, broom, or Patinated glove. Harmony Concrete recommends wearing gloves to avoid direct contact with the product. Using a sponge allows you to create the desired variations—aim for an irregular application, which adds more character to the surface. Allow it to dry for at least four hours. If the effect isn’t what you envisioned, you can repeat the process. For enhanced protection, let the Patinated dry for at least 24 hours, then apply two coats of Harmony Optimum Lacquer.
Maintaining your Patinated floor is easy—just clean it with clear water. For tougher stains, use a mild soap, like Harmony Neutral Cleaner or olive oil-based black soap. Always choose pH-neutral soaps, as harsh products can damage the material.
